David Wiseman

Nature is what drives David Wiseman. His collection of interior items is certainly something to marvel at. Although he works with a variety of mediums, I find his work in porcelain to be particularly attractive as its really porcelain like you've never seen it. Check out his Rock Vase with Moss, (top two pics) and the lovely detail. Its an aesthetic that comes across as something new because its really sort of like Chinese watercolor painting in 3-D, an appropriation of an old art form.

That's not all Mr. Wiseman (sounds like a sage already) has up his sleeve. As you can see above, that profile of a Bambi head is really a hat hanger, also made out of porcelain.

Also, do take a look at his ceiling and wall decoration pieces as he applies scenes stolen from the forest onto various surfaces.

Deborah Bowness

Art meets interior decor in Deborah Bowness's collection of wallpapers. In the biz for 7 years and running, her style combines a retro, vintage chic with sharp photography. You can just imagine her work adorning some fabulous fashion boutique and indeed she has been comissioned by Selfridges and Paul Smith. Each set of wallpaper comes with object themes, like chairs or clothes. Unconventional and strangely elegant.

B+N Iconic

B+N take contemporary wall decoration to another level with their latest Iconic collection. Above is their Versailles wall panels painted in blue. The beauty of using wood is that there's a lot more physical depth than paper you can use for decoration and the result is marvellous. It adds a lot more richness and character to a space. There's a myriad of patterns to select from, each evoking a particular style, whether 60s pop art or Victorian era glamour. You also have to applaud the product shots, each one perfectly balanced in terms of color, composition and mise en scene.

Sensitile

If you waved your hand over one of these Scintilla tiles from Sensitile, they actually react! Each tile contains hundreds of light conducting channels that make the tile appear to shimmer and respond to various changes in light. Look at the website to see what I mean. Via teejay's backsplash.

Timorous Beasties

The wallpaper in the pic is by Timorous Beasties, who come from the UK, Glasgow in fact. Although you wouldn't associate their name with prints, patterns and wallpaper, it does go some way into highlighting the fact they make very unique stuff. Via design*sponge.

That's a Karim Rashid Oh chair which I'm sitting on btw.

Berlin Tapete

Here's some pretty wallpaper from Berlin Tapete, a German wallpaper manufacturer specialising in custom designs. They have the old school, 70s style nature pictures but its their collection of graphic prints which are far more interesting. Via That's Hot.

Concrete Wallpaper

7dv talks about this concrete wallpaper from CONCRETE BLOND. A company from the UK that exhibited at the Milan Fair, they imprint concrete wall slabs with patterns. There's depth and texture on every pattern, so you get a whole lotta feel out of it. Certainly goes down well with today's trends.
