Fred Flare

My girlfriend appears to be obsessed with Fred Flare, who sell incredibly cute, sweeter than sweet stuff for both genders. They're named after Fred Astaire and produce a lot of items by themselves as well as stocking a good range of like minded stuff, like Paul Frank for instance. They've got loads of ultra cute accessories, clothes, stationery and books, all rainbow colored goodness just waiting to be unravelled. Quirky is the name of the game. Just taking a browse through the site will surely let loose a few giggles or commit you to scrambling for your credit card. Relatively inexpensive and very unique, Fred Flare certainly knows how to do it in style.

Perpetual Kid

Perhaps you suffer from the perversion of wanting to turn inanimate objects into life, Frankenstein style. Do it the safe way with Inanimate Character Stickers from Perpetual Kid instead. Just stick on some eyes and stuff and voila a mug with a face!

Or maybe you want gnomes with a little extra? Not the normal garden variety. How about a mooning gnome? Perfect for vulgarising your garden with.

Perpetual Kid is a store that has a lot of little products that appeal to the inner child. With thumb wrestling rings and other kitschy paraphenalia that'll confound the large majority of your friends.

Uniqlo US

Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo has reached the shores of the U.S with a combination of temporary “pop-up” stores and a fixed flagship store opening in Soho NY. A label well known for its affordability as well as its quality, Uniqlo stores are ubiquitous in Japan and have already expanded into Europe as well as China. Some of their jeans are actually selvage quality at well below typical selvage denim prices. On the tee shirt front, they have collaborated with Staple Design and Parisian retailer Colette for some special designs amidst a series of shirts with prints from Los Logos and some by art and design students from around the world.

Interestingly, they've put together a set of top designers with respective roles to introduce the launch. Their website is designed by Yugo Nakamura, who has created a relentlessly spawning field of Uniqlo logos that react to your mouse pointer. The interior of the shop space itself is designed by Wonderwall's Masamichi Katayama, who has designed the insides of A Bathing Ape's Busy Workshops across the globe.

The 36000 square foot Soho NY store is set to open Fall 2006. Via jeansnow.

Karmaloop

I used to visit the Karmaloop website a lot as they always had lots of nice stuff. This Paul Frank MP3 case is something I think is particularly apt since the motif used is the Danger Skurvy Pirate. The box packaging also says "Stow yer MP3's you music pirates! (argggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh)"

Elsewares

Elsewares is this link I got off boing boing. What they linked to was this pretty cool soda/beer can bracelet but the site itself stocks a whole bunch of interesting online shopping material.
